Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using Where's My Poke Friend ("the Platform"), including our PokeDealer service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

Our Role as a Mediator

⚠️ Important Notice

Where's My Poke Friend is a connection platform only. We act solely as a mediator to help trainers share information and connect with each other. We are NOT responsible for:

Any interactions, communications, or arrangements made between users
The accuracy of information posted by users
Any disputes, conflicts, or issues arising from trades or meetings
The safety or conduct of users when meeting in person
Lost, stolen, or damaged property during in-person meetings
Any harm, injury, or loss resulting from using our platform

You use this platform entirely at your own risk.

User Responsibilities

AI Search String Generator

Our platform provides an AI-powered tool to generate Pokémon GO search strings. By using this feature:

Accuracy not guaranteed: AI-generated search strings are provided as-is and may not always be accurate
Verify results: Always test generated strings in Pokémon GO before relying on them
No liability: We are not responsible for incorrect or non-functional search strings
Educational purpose: The tool is for learning and convenience only
Appropriate use: Do not submit offensive, inappropriate, or abusive queries
Third-party processing: Queries are processed by external AI services with their own terms

PokeDealer Services

Our PokeDealer service offers discounted PokéCoins and event passes. By using this service, you acknowledge:

Account Access for Coins Only: PokéCoin delivery requires temporary access to your Pokémon GO account. We log in, add coins, and log out immediately.
No Account Access for Passes: Giftable passes are sent through the in-game friend gift system and do not require account access.
Account Security: You are responsible for changing your password after coin delivery if desired. We recommend using unique passwords.
Payment Terms: PayPal for remote orders; Zelle or cash for local meetups in Northern California. All sales are final once delivered.
Service Availability: We process orders on a first-come, first-served basis. Service times may vary.
Third-Party Service: PokeDealer is an independent service. We are not affiliated with Niantic or The Pokémon Company.
Niantic Terms: You are responsible for ensuring your use of PokeDealer complies with Niantic's Terms of Service.
No Refunds: All sales are final once coins or passes are delivered to your account.
Local Meetups: If meeting in person in Northern California, standard safety guidelines apply (see Safety Guidelines section).

Modded Pokémon GO Plus+ Devices

Our PokeDealer service offers modded Pokémon GO Plus+ devices with auto-catch and auto-spin features. By purchasing a modded device, you acknowledge:

30-Day Warranty: All modded GO Plus+ devices come with a 30-day warranty covering defects or functionality issues. If your device stops working within 30 days of purchase, we will replace it free of charge.
Warranty Claims: To file a warranty claim, text us at 916-430-2846 with your order details and a description of the issue.
Manufacturer's Warranty Void: Physical modifications void the original manufacturer's warranty. Our 30-day warranty replaces the manufacturer's coverage.
Unofficial Modifications: These are physical hardware modifications to an official licensed device. The game recognizes it as a standard GO Plus+.
Use at Your Own Risk: While we have modded over 100 devices with zero reports of bans, you use the device at your own risk regarding Niantic's Terms of Service.
No Refunds After 30 Days: After the 30-day warranty period expires, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds or replacements for normal wear and tear.
Free Shipping: All GO Plus+ devices ship free within the United States.

General Conduct

By using our platform, you agree to:

Be respectful and courteous to all users at all times
Provide accurate information about your trainer code and trade offers
Respond promptly to trade commitments and communications
Honor your commitments when you agree to trade with someone
Use the platform legally and in compliance with Pokémon GO's Terms of Service
Not abuse, harass, threaten, or harm other users in any way

Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
Spam, flood, or abuse our platform or chat features
Use offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language
Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users
Share others' personal information without consent
Attempt to hack, disrupt, or damage our platform
Create multiple fake accounts or entries
Use the platform for commercial purposes without permission
Promote or facilitate violations of Pokémon GO's Terms of Service (e.g., spoofing, account selling)
Post illegal, obscene, or harmful content

Safety Guidelines for In-Person Meetings

🛡️ Your Safety Is Your Responsibility

When meeting other trainers in person, we strongly recommend the following safety practices:

Before Meeting:

✅ Verify the person's trainer name and details match their post
✅ Communicate clearly about meeting time and location
✅ Choose a public, well-lit location with other people around
✅ Meet during daylight hours whenever possible
✅ Tell a friend or family member where you're going
✅ Trust your instincts—if something feels wrong, cancel

During the Meeting:

✅ Stay in public view at all times
✅ Keep your phone charged and accessible
✅ Be aware of your surroundings
✅ Keep your belongings secure
✅ Don't share unnecessary personal information
✅ Complete the trade and part ways politely

Red Flags—Cancel If Someone:

❌ Asks to meet in an isolated or private location
❌ Pressures you to meet immediately or late at night
❌ Refuses to provide their trainer name or verify details
❌ Acts aggressively, threateningly, or inappropriately
❌ Asks for money, payment, or inappropriate favors
❌ Makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe

Trade Distance Requirements

Remember that Pokémon GO requires trainers to be within 100 meters (approximately 328 feet) to complete special trades. Plan your meeting accordingly and verify you're within range before attempting the trade.

Content Guidelines

Your Posted Content

By posting information on our platform, you:

Grant us permission to display your content publicly
Confirm you have the right to share the information you post
Acknowledge that your posts may remain visible until they expire or you request removal
Accept responsibility for the accuracy and legality of your content

Chat Room Rules

Our chat rooms are for friendly community interaction. Please:

Keep conversations relevant to Pokémon GO
Be kind and welcoming to all trainers
Avoid spam, excessive caps, or flooding messages
Respect others' privacy and personal boundaries
Report inappropriate behavior to moderators

Intellectual Property

Moderation & Enforcement

We reserve the right to:

Remove any content that violates these terms
Delete entries, messages, or accounts without notice
Ban users who violate our rules or abuse the platform
Modify or suspend features at any time
Cooperate with law enforcement if illegal activity is reported

Violations may result in immediate removal from the platform without warning.

Privacy & Data

Your use of our platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Your email is encrypted and securely stored
We never share your email with third parties for marketing

The safety or trustworthiness of other users

Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform
We are not responsible for interactions between users
We are not liable for any harm, loss, or injury resulting from in-person meetings
You agree to hold us harmless from any claims related to your use of the platform

Indemnification

Your use of the platform
